Ingredients
Heat the butter, margarine or vegetable oil in a large pan and add the onion and celery. Cook for about 10 minutes until soft, then add the water and milk and crumble in the stock cube.
Simmer for 25 minutes then allow to cool slightly before whizzing in the blender.
Reheat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
