A spicy Mexican staple that makes a quick and tasty snack at any time or starter to a fiery Tex-Mex meal. This is one of our favourite kids' food recipes, an integral part of our Food For Kids series.
Serves: 4-6, depending on quantities.
Preparation time: 5 minutes.
Directions
Grate enough cheese for the desired number of quesadillas.
Sprinkle a layer of the cheese on one half of each flour tortilla and sprinkle jalapenos on top of the cheese to taste. Heat some oil in a large frying pan at high heat and gently fry one side of each quesadilla for approximately 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Turn the quesadilla and fry the other side.
Cut the quesadilla in half and serve with a dollop of salsa to dip with.
